Support Girls That Rock’s Back-to-School Wellness Event
Dates: August 29–30, 2025 | Time: 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Location: Belleville, MI
Girls That Rock (GTR) invites college students to join our Back-to-School Wellness Event as volunteers, interns, or work-study participants. This two-day event provides a welcoming, girl-centered space for 6th–12th grade students to reconnect, regulate, and reset before returning to school.
This opportunity is perfect for students in education, psychology, social work, public health, youth development, or community engagement programs seeking hands-on experience with mentorship and wellness-based youth programming.
Roles Include:
Activity Monitoring– Help girls navigate creative stations like Paint & Sip, Jewelry Making, Self-Care Kits, and more.
Mentorship & Engagement – Support 6th grade participants as a near-peer mentor, modeling confidence and kindness.
Setup & Breakdown – Help with decorations, materials, tables, and post-event cleanup.
Event Support – Assist with check-in, materials management, and supervision of rotating groups.

Qualifications:
Must be age 17 or older
Must be available to complete at least 1 hour of service during the event
Comfortable working with middle and high school youth in a group setting
Friendly, responsible, and professional in communication and conduct
Passionate about education, mentorship, wellness, or event service
